On Sunday, me and my wife had dinner at Giovanni Placere. That's a new restaurant on Strand Street in Christiansted. We started off with the intentions of going to Bacchus but they were closed on Sunday's. (Imagine that!) Anyways, during my usual circling in town trying to find a parking space, I saw two well dressed young men standing on the curb. I nearly flipped! Giovanni's provides valet parking! (Imagine that!) I had already found a pretty decent parking spot on my own so I did not avail myself of the valet parking, but we did end up eating dinner there.
Giovanni's serves italian cuisine and has a very romantic ambiance. Very good for couples looking for a quiet dinner. Some dude was playing the piano softly in the corner. The menu is a bit limited. (The entire menu fits on two pages.) But the food was good though. All in all it was a pleasant experience. I recommend you check them out. You don't even have to worry about parking!
